We would welcome anyone to come and give our church a try. We offer both creative and hymnal worship styles. At Trinity you are only a visitor here once, because people will greet you and make you feel at home.
I’m blessed to be working on my 18th year here at Trinity as their Pastor and at this time have plans to retire here. This is important to people, because it gives continuity to our church program.
My formal education consists of an Associate’s Degree in Arts, a Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice Specialist and I have more than is required for a Master’s Degree in Theology. I believe that God trains pastors not just through formal education, but through life’s experiences as well.
Before becoming a Pastor, I grew up on a Dairy, Beef & Cash Crop Farm in Michigan, so I value hard work. As a highly honored Police Officer who worked in the highest crime rate area of Michigan, I taught D.A.R.E. in 5 Public and 5 Christian School systems. I worked Drug Enforcement and was a Detective as well. But most importantly I was known as the Christian Cop.
I know that God divinely called me to be His servant. I’m a second career pastor and I served a very large congregation in Michigan as their sole Pastor and Principal of the Lutheran School as well. All of these experiences have given me great insight into human nature and illustrations that have made me an effective communicator, preacher and teacher.
I’m a sinner just like all other human beings, and I need God’s forgiveness every day. If you realize you are a sinner also, come and see what it feels like to have a huge load lifted off of your shoulders. See what it means that Jesus Christ died in my place for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. What a blessing it is for us to be Forgiven and have Eternal Life, a free gift through Faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior. As Pastor of Trinity, I feel truly blessed by the Holy Spirit living in my heart and know the Holy Spirit leads our ministry.
In Christ’s Service,
Rev. Paul E. Yanke
